Abstract |
In this paper, prototypes and experiences of mechanisms for parallel manipulators have been presented in medical applications in the form they have been developed at LARM in Cassino during the last decade. In this paper, prototypes and experiences of mechanisms for parallel manipulators have been presented in medical applications in the form they have been developed at LARM in Cassino during the last decade. A variety of structures and operation features have been illustrated as a suitable expertise background for a design project of new solutions and operations strategies. Main design issues for new developments can be recognized in the development of suitable mechanism solutions with robust mechanical designs that can also provide operation functionality with user-oriented features and easy programming needs.
