Abstract In this paper design problems for a typical industrial two-finger gripper system are reviewed from general up to specific viewpoints and some design considerations are developed.
It is believed that a good knowledge of specific design problems for two-finger grippers allows better and comparable designs as well as a better use of the gripper capabilities in industrial robot applications.
